Sewing Basics Level 3 is for those who have completed Sewing Basics 1 and 2 and are ready to make a garment to wear in public! Also for those who have been sewing for a while and need to perfect their techniques. Please email if you have questions, before registering.
In Sewing Basics 3, you have a choice of these patterns, included in the class fee - Jalie 3676 or Jalie 4347 or Jalie 3905 or Jalie 3355. The fabric and notions are not included in the cost of the class and must be purchased prior to the class and washed and dried.
Please write in the NOTES, your first and second choice as pattern quantities are limited.
What to bring:
- Basic sewing kit (fabric scissors, pins, tape measure, seam ripper)
- Fabric marker
- Fabric; washed and dried prior to the first class
- Matching thread and any other notions required for your garment
- Pattern traced and cut out - please visit us in store to pick up your pattern.
All regular priced materials purchased in store for class, will be discounted 15%. Contact us for fabric requirements.
This is a 4 week class, 2.5 hours per week. Please ensure you are able to come to all scheduled classes, as make up classes will not be available.
**NOTE FOR BOOTCAMP:
This class is a condensed 2-day class. The class includes a 30 minute break. Please remember to bring a meal or prepare to purchase from a local shop. Some quick suggestions, pre-order a meal from:

This class is for ages 13+. Please note it will be in an upstairs classroom with the only access via stairs.

Class Policy
Class Reminders: We do not send reminders, so please mark your calendar when you register. All classes are located on The Sewing Cafe premises at 118 Mill St., Georgetown, Ontario.
Class Cancellations: If we must cancel a class due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid and we will notify you as soon as possible.
Missed Classes:
Please ensure you can attend all classes in your session, as makeup classes are not offered and refunds are not provided for a missed class.
If you know in advance of your registration that you cannot make a class, sometimes with advanced notice we can make an exception. This isn’t always possible and needs to be arranged prior to your registration.
Refund Policy: Due to our limited class sizes, we kindly request that any cancellations be made with at least two weeks' notice before the scheduled class start date. This ensures we have the opportunity to offer your spot to another student.
- Full Refund: A full refund will be provided if cancellation is made at least two weeks before the class start date.
- Store Credit: If cancellation is made between two weeks and 48 hours before the class, we will apply a store credit to your account for use toward any future class.
- Last-Minute Cancellations: For cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, payment will be forfeited unless we can fill your spot. While we will make every effort to do so, we cannot guarantee the spot will be filled on short notice. If we successfully fill your spot, you will receive a full refund.
- No Call/No Show: If you don’t attend a class you are registered for and you don’t let us know you won’t be attending, your payment will be forfeited, as we had to pay the instructor for their time to be there.
