Quilting Basics - Sundown

3 Week Duration. Suitable for quilters who have completed one of our layered quilt projects (such as Happy Hour, Yellow Brick Road, Dots and Dashes, or Yellowstone).

Create a stunning 32" x 32" mountain scene wall hanging (Sundown by Cathey Marie Designs) for outdoor enthusiasts using the Gradations line by Northcott. In this class, you'll learn how to cut and work with graded, directional fabrics, and explore creative ways to arrange the colors. Each piece will be unique as you experiment with color placement, and a touch of appliqué will add a stunning finishing effect.

Please note, fabric substitutions are not suitable for this project. The class price includes the fabric for the quilt top and binding. Fabric kits will be available at the start of the first class.

What to Bring:

• Rotary cutter
• 6" x 24", 6.5" x 24", or 8.5” x 24” ruler
• Seam ripper
• Awl
• Pins

Homework: Some homework will be required between classes. If you don't have access to a sewing machine, you can book time in our classroom for $15 per hour.

Class Schedule: We aim to have your quilt top completed by the end of the third session. If time allows, we'll also layer the quilts in class.
