5 Week Duration. Suitable for the confident beginner quilter who has operated a sewing machine before (Basic operations like threading a machine, wind bobbin, select stitches, change the needle) or has completed Sewing Basics Level 1.
New to sewing or unfamiliar with modern sewing machines? Join Quilting With Catherine to ensure you're comfortable and confident before joining this class.

You will need to bring to class:

Rotary cutter

24” cutting ruler that is at least 6" wide. Our favourite is 8 ½” wide.

Seam Ripper

Sewing awl

Coordinating thread

Fabrics (stop by the shop to purchase your kit for this class.) fabric substitutions are not suitable for this class.

Basting spray. We like Perfect base for its excellent adhesion and low odor.

Homework must be done between classes. If you do not have access to a sewing machine, you can book time in our classroom for $15 per hour.
There are no makeup classes scheduled for this workshop. Please ensure you are able to come to each one.
