Got an old wool sweater that's shrunk, ripped, or just not in style anymore? Give it a new life by transforming it into cozy, winter mittens! In this workshop, we’ll guide you through repurposing your wool or minimum 80% wool sweater, making it a sustainable choice for winter wear.
What to bring:
- Old wool sweater (washed in hot water, machine-dried completely, and no thicker than 1/8”).
- Please ensure the sweater is not cotton, as it doesn't sew well.
- Scissors and a seam ripper (just in case!).
We provide:
- Pattern, lining, thread, and sewing machine.
Requirements:
- This class is open to participants aged 10 and up with some sewing experience.
- Thrift stores are a great place to find wool sweaters for this project!
