Instead of discarding worn or torn clothing, discover how to repair and reinforce fabric with stunning hand-stitched patterns that add character and longevity to your garments. Transform your worn-out clothes into one-of-a-kind treasures!
In this class, you will:

Apply what you’ve learned to mend and decorate a piece of your own clothing (bring a favorite item that needs repair!).
This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced stitchers alike. Whether you want to mend beloved garments, embrace slow fashion, or simply enjoy the meditative process of hand stitching, this class will inspire you to see mending as an opportunity for creativity and self-expression.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring a well-loved piece of clothing that you’d like to mend.

Class Policy
Class Reminders: We do not send reminders, so please mark your calendar when you register. All classes are located on The Sewing Cafe premises at 118 Mill St., Georgetown, Ontario.
Class Cancellations: If we must cancel a class due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid and we will notify you as soon as possible.
Missed Classes:
Please ensure you can attend all classes in your session, as makeup classes are not offered and refunds are not provided for a missed class.
If you know in advance of your registration that you cannot make a class, sometimes with advanced notice we can make an exception. This isn’t always possible and needs to be arranged prior to your registration.
Refund Policy: Due to our limited class sizes, we kindly request that any cancellations be made with at least two weeks' notice before the scheduled class start date. This ensures we have the opportunity to offer your spot to another student.
- Full Refund: A full refund will be provided if cancellation is made at least two weeks before the class start date.
- Store Credit: If cancellation is made between two weeks and 48 hours before the class, we will apply a store credit to your account for use toward any future class.
- Last-Minute Cancellations: For cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, payment will be forfeited unless we can fill your spot. While we will make every effort to do so, we cannot guarantee the spot will be filled on short notice. If we successfully fill your spot, you will receive a full refund.
- No Call/No Show: If you don’t attend a class you are registered for and you don’t let us know you won’t be attending, your payment will be forfeited, as we had to pay the instructor for their time to be there.
