Who It's For
This class is perfect for anyone comfortable with basic sewing machine operation. No quilting experience is necessary.
Fabric Selection
Fabric and thread are not included in the class fee. Please visit the store ahead of time to choose your fabrics—you’ll receive a 15% class discount on your purchase (excluding sewing machines).
Choose from two quilt layout options:
Option 1: Random Layout (Finished Size: 50" x 65")

Top: 13 strips, each 8” WOF of assorted fabrics

Lining: 2.7 m

Backing: 2.7 m
Option 2: Diagonal Layout (Finished Size: 60" x 75")

Top: 0.45 m each of 8 different fabrics

Lining: 3.3 m (This fabric will peek through in the center of the fringe)

Backing: 3.3 m (This fabric shows in the fringe on top of the quilt)
Fabric Recommendations

Top: Good-quality flannel or quilting cotton

Lining: Low-quality flannel works best—it adds bulk to the seams and warmth without adding too much cost. We have a designated selection just for rag quilt linings—ask us when you shop!

Backing: Good-quality flannel

Please choose your fabrics before the first class. No need to prewash.
