4 Week Duration. Suitable for the intermediate quilter who has completed at least one quilt and are ready to build their skills while creating something special. NOTE: This is not a beginner quilt, but is acceptable for those new to Foundation Paper Piecing.
While we wait for the next installment of our favourite books, let’s fill the time with some bookish quilting!
In this four-session class, we’ll cover the essentials of foundation paper piecing (FPP), including how to use an Add-A-Quarter ruler for accurate, crisp piecing.
Our featured project is the Book Nerd Quilt by Angela Pingel, with quilt kits available for purchase. Beginners to FPP are asked to work on Book Nerd so we can guide you through the techniques step-by-step. The pattern is not included and must be purchased separately from the designer.
You’re welcome to bring another FPP quilt project of your choice and enjoy four sessions of dedicated sewing time with instructor guidance along the way.
During class, we’ll focus on piecing and assembling your quilt top. Once complete, you can send it for longarm quilting or join a Layering Bee for help preparing it to machine quilt yourself.
You will need to bring to class:
