Sizing:
The fit steps were tested on lots of body shapes. Use your hip/seat to choose your size and then it’s the elastic in the back waist that will give you all the fit flexibility. See page 4 in the tutorial.

FABRIC CHOICE: Your fabric choice will shape how your skirt sits and moves—from flowing and relaxed to structured and bold. For more info, see the tutorial.
- Light, Fluid Fabrics (Rayon, Viscose, Silk): Create a soft, drapey silhouette that gently skims the body, adding effortless movement for a casual, summery feel.
- Light, Crisp Fabrics (Linen, Cotton Voile): Balance fluidity and structure, giving a more defined A-line shape with a clean, airy look that sits slightly away from the body.
- Heavier Fabrics (Denim, Wool Suiting, Sateen): Create a strong, structured silhouette that holds its shape. Add details like a topstitched center front seam, side splits, or utility pockets for a balanced, stylish look.
TRIMS & SUPPLIES:
- 20mm (3/4") elastic. Length - approximately half your waist.
- Interfacing (fusing) for front waist facing, utility pocket & pocket flap.

Unused and unmodified products may be returned within 30 days of purchase, provided they are in their original, sellable condition.
To be considered sellable, items must be:
- Clean and undamaged
- Unused and unaltered
- Unopened, where applicable
- Free from unexpected or strong odours, including smoke, pet, mildew, or similar scents
Items that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted for return.
Cut Fabric
Fabric that has been cut from the bolt specifically for your order is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Online Purchases
Online purchases that otherwise meet our return policy may be returned within 30 days. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
You may either ship your return to us at your own expense or return it in person at The Sewing Cafe during our regular store hours.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
