50wt, 3-ply Egyptian cotton thread, either in a solid colour (Konfetti) or variegated (Tutti). Both threads are double-gassed and mercerized to create a wonderfully soft, clean, and lustrous finish. Free of waxes or coatings that can cause build up in machines, there are super low lint threads.
The process of double gassing involves burning off the lint from the thread two times, resulting in a much softer and cleaner finish. From a Canadian based company, although produced overseas.

In practice, with this thread, most quilters default to:
80/12 for piecing and general sewing, and switch to
90/14 if they are quilting through thicker layers or want fewer thread breaks on dense projects;
16 for longarms; and
#10 Sharp for hand quilting.
